Some of the activities conducted were-
• Students of Classes III–V were introduced to the INTACH Club through videos and presentations.
• World Heritage Day: Grade III made monument badges, Grade IV held a JAM session on "Knowing Your Roots," and Grade V mapped UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India.
• Baisakhi Assembly: Ganges House students presented a skit, dance, and reflections on farmers’ contributions. The skit highlighted its significance and portrayed the dedication and the tireless efforts of farmers who are the backbone of our nation. The students gave a lively dance performance reflecting the festive essence of Baisakhi.
• World Earth Day: Class III wrote “One Promise for Earth,” Class IV performed role-plays, and Class V held a JAM session on “Save Our Earth.” Through these activities, students learned that caring for the Earth is not limited to a single day, but is a responsibility we must uphold every day.
• Earth Day Assembly: A Nukkad Natak highlighted renewable energy and sustainable practices, reinforcing INTACH’s environmental goals. The highlight of the assembly was an engaging Nukkad Natak that emphasized the importance of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power and showcased practical ways to reduce waste and conserve resources.
These activities not only fostered curiosity and cultural understanding but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards preserving our rich heritage.
A Glimpse into My Family Heritage: Students shared heirlooms and family stories, fostering pride and communication skills. The presentations were insightful and reflected a deep sense of pride and emotional connection. The activity provided a platform for students to develop communication skills while fostering respect for heritage and legacy. It also encouraged peer learning, as students were exposed to diverse cultural backgrounds and family stories.
ITIHAAS Art Competition: Held at Red Fort on 18 April, DPS Gurgaon secured third place with creative artworks celebrating heritage. The event brought together enthusiastic young artists from various schools, providing them with a platform to express their understanding of heritage through creativity.
Teacher Training Workshop (INTACH–NCERT): A two-day workshop (20–21 April) enriched teachers’ understanding of heritage education, integrating arts and crafts with NEP 2020. Sessions, field visits, and collaborative activities provided practical strategies for classroom use. The workshop proved to be highly enriching and informative. It provided teachers with practical strategies, deeper insights into heritage education, and innovative ways to integrate arts into teaching-learning processes.
On 13 April, Class X conducted a special assembly to celebrate Baisakhi festival with a video on celebrations, reflections on Khalsa formation, and also paid tribute to Jallianwala Bagh martyrs. The programme concluded with messages of gratitude, unity, and joy.

To commemorate World Heritage Day, The Millennium School, Batala (Gurdaspur), Punjab, organized an educational excursion to Nurpur Fort on 18th April for 70 students of Grades VI–VIII. The initiative was led by President Varun Khosla, Director Payal Khosla, and Principal Gurmeet Singh, reflecting the school’s commitment to experiential learning and heritage awareness.
The visit was conducted under the guidance of the school’s INTACH Heritage Society, with its President Dr. Bhawna (Ph.D. Sociology) and teachers Tr. Prachi, Tr. Gurinderpal, Tr. Sukhpal, and Tr. Shishpal accompanying the students. They briefed participants on the fort’s historical and cultural significance.
To ensure structured learning, each student received a 20-point proforma encouraging observation, inquiry, and documentation of the fort’s history, architecture, and preservation. Students actively engaged by reading inscriptions, interacting with guides, and making detailed notes. A quiz based on their observations was conducted later at school, with prizes awarded to top scorers.
The excursion proved to be an enriching experience, fostering awareness of heritage conservation and instilling responsibility among young learners. Such initiatives nurture informed, sensitive, and culturally aware citizens, aligning with the vision of INTACH and the school’s educational philosophy.

The month of February started with a lot of love and enthusiasm. A host of activities were conducted for the students to promote their love for nature and international understanding in children through the days observed in this month.
World Wetlands Day (Feb 2): Students of Classes III–V learned about the ecological importance of wetlands through presentations and creative activities. They drew wetland birds and shared ideas in a JAM session on how communities protect nature.
World Radio Day (Feb 13): Class V explored the history and role of radio through videos and presentations, while Class IV discussed its everyday uses. Students also sketched radios in their notebooks.
International Mother Language Day (Feb 21): Classes III–V celebrated linguistic diversity. Class III practiced self-expression, Class IV created mini bilingual dictionaries, and Class V designed pocket dictionaries, fostering pride in their mother tongue and cultural exchange.
Loktak Lake Activity: Students studied Manipur’s Loktak Lake, its floating islands (phumdis), and its cultural and ecological significance. They learned how the lake sustains livelihoods, traditions, and biodiversity.
INTACH FILMIT India Festival (Feb 3): DPS students showcased short films on heritage and won top honors. The Fortress of Fate by Hriday Sharma and Vanya Mishra won Best Overall Film, while A Legacy of Threads by Advikaa Chugh and Sumedha Solanki earned Best Direction.
Poster Making Competition: Six students participated in INTACH’s inter-school contest on the theme Tree of Life. Classes VII–IX created posters and write-ups highlighting indigenous trees, their ecological importance, and conservation needs.
Senior School
With Classes X and XII preparing for Board exams and Classes IX and XI focused on finals, extracurricular activities were paused. They will resume in the new academic session.

Interhouse Kite Making Competition (Classes VI–VIII) celebrated Makar Sankranti with eco-friendly, colorful kites.
INTACH students participated in the 12th Udaipur Bird Festival at Menar, joining poster-making and quiz competitions on the theme "Happy Birds and Green Earth."
Hiya Dwivedi (Class IX) secured 2nd position in the on-the-spot painting competition.
Students also interacted with Dev Menaria, actor-producer of the film Bihu Attack, rooted in Assamese traditions.
Republic Day Assembly (21st January): Chenab House students presented a special assembly commemorating the 77th Republic Day. The programme emphasized responsible citizenship, respect for the Constitution, and national unity. Poems and messages stirred patriotic pride, with Ms. Rajani Walia, Senior Mistress, in attendance.
Students of class III learned about Republic Day through a presentation, patriotic medley, poster-making, and songs. Whereas Classes IV & V made an informative video explained the difference between flag hoisting (Independence Day) and unfurling (Republic Day). Students created bubble charts on fundamental rights and duties, deepening their understanding of national values.
An activity titled 21 Guns Salute was conducted on 20th January, where students explored the history and significance of the ceremonial salute. They prepared write-ups, shared reflections, and engaged with visuals and facts. The activity enhanced awareness of national traditions and fostered respect for heritage.
With Classes IX–XII focused on examinations, extracurricular activities are paused and will resume in the new academic session.
National youth day is celebrated with great enthusiasm in our school on 12 January to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The INTACH heritage students of St. Anthony's School delivered speeches highlighting the life teachings and inspiration thoughts of Swami Vivekananda.
The INTACH heritage students taking a youth pledge, promising to follow the values of honesty, unity, discipline and dedication towards the nation. The pledge inspired students to contribute positively to society and work for the progress of the country.
Students were taken on an educational visit to the local police station. Students learned about traffic rules, safety measures and the importance of obeying laws. The interaction helped students understand the value of disciple courage and service to society.
Makar Sankranti was celebrated with great enthusiasm in our school on 14th January. The celebration began with a speech by INTACH Heritage students of St. Anthony's School who explained the significance of Makar Sankranti. This was followed by poem reciting related to the festival of nature, kites and unity. Students actively participated in games such as seven stones and hopscotch. These games created excitement and helped students understand the value of teamwork, coordination and physical fitness.
Jaypee Public School collaborated with INTACH to celebrate Wildlife Week, engaging students in conservation activities that promoted awareness and responsibility towards the environment.
Herbal Garden Initiative: With support from INTACH Noida Chapter, students nurtured herbal plants, each tagged with QR codes detailing their medicinal properties. This hands-on project encouraged sustainability and environmental learning.
Plastic Recycling - Bottles for Change: Through Bisleri’s initiative, students learned proper plastic disposal and recycling. The program has transformed over 6,500 tons of plastic into useful products, instilling eco-friendly habits.
Kala Sangam Exhibition (31st January 2026): The INTACH club showcased its projects, with the Herbal Garden as a highlight. QR codes allowed visitors to explore plant information, while students displayed creativity and raised awareness about conservation.
These efforts reflect the school’s commitment to holistic education, combining academics with environmental stewardship, cultural heritage preservation, and values of humility and excellence.
